This method should only be used in an emergency. Use it to shake teasing about liking someone or to get back at people for teasing you for being single. It can also be fun to make a new "friend" to chat to your friends.
Steps
1Choose a name for your fake boyfriend/girlfriend. It should be a believable or popular name like Ryan, Tyler, Lucas, or Jake for boys, or Jessica, Ashley, Sarah, Taylor, Cassy, Selena, Beth, or Holly for girls.
2Set up your character's personality. Make the personality just the way that you want to see in a boy/girl. Like if you like soccer, make him/her like soccer too. But make sure there are still some differences, remember nobody is perfect.
3Say that your fake bf/gf used to live right next door to you, and that you met him/her when they moved in and you are keeping a long distance relationship. This will ensure that your friends won't have to meet him/her.
4Create a fake AIM (or other IM) account. Make the password simple and memorable. Make the user name, well, his/her name! Only if you got a really cool idea then you can make a nickname.
5Send emails to yourself as the person and respond as if there is nothing weird about it
6Try not to make plans too often to see him or her if it's apparently a long distance relationship; your friends might ask to tag along and/or it will seem suspicious.
7Pretend to answer your phone on vibrate. It will be him/her of course, tell them you'll call him/her back tonight (stick in a casual "love you too")
8Have your phone out constantly, typing texts constantly. Then just send it but dont save it
